Gain Global Recognition?

The Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN) is a non-profit association of third-party, environmental performance recognition, certification and labelling organizations founded in 1994 to improve, promote, and develop the "ecolabelling" of products and services.  A non-profit association of third-party, environmental performance labelling organizations founded in 1994 to improve, promote, and develop the "ecolabelling" of products and services.

GEN currently has 39 members representing nearly 60 countries and territories around the world. Eco Label- Sri Lanka is a full member of GEN. Eco Label- Sri Lanka operates Type 1 ecolabelling programmes, and develop standards in an open, public, transparent process.

NCPC Eco Labelling Scheme is the only Sri Lankan member of the Global Eco Label Network (GEN) and it is technically supported by matured and leading Eco Labelling programmes globally, through GEN membership. Eco Label-Sri Lanka has developed rigorous voluntary standards with sector experts, which are then independently and critically reviewed and approved by the Governing Council, represented by government, industry, academia and other sectors.
Our ecolabel gives consumers, including suppliers and procurement teams, confidence that the products and services have been through an independent third-party assessment.
